L-7. AMEND SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH POLARIS LIBRARY SYSTEMS Authorize and approve an amendment to the Sole Source Contract with Polaris Library Systems contract to add additional products and services for the implementation of Envisionware as an add-on to the current Library District library automation system. Also, approve an increase ($1,000,000) in the price agreement for the Sole Source Contract with Polaris Library Systems from $1,500,000 to $2,500,000. These additional funds are needed for the rollout of the Polaris Library System to the Glendale Public Library and the additional annual maintenance costs for both Mesa’s and Glendale's Polaris Systems installations. The original Polaris contract was made with the Library District's needs only. Since then, the District has added multiple library systems to its provision of Polaris including the major systems of Mesa and Glendale. Funds were budgeted for this, but, the contract with Polaris was not amended to account for these additional costs. (C-65-09-008-3-01)
