L-3. AMEND FY 2009-10 FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM Amend FY 2009-10 Five-Year Capital Improvement Program Re-establish “Library District Technology Phase 2” (LDT2) project. This action requires an "Appropriated Expenditure" increase to the Library District (650) Library District Capital Improvement Fund (465) Library District technology Phase 2 (LDT2) project in the amount of $500,000. The purpose of the Library District Tech Phase 2 project is to expand capacity of the network and create total redundancy for the District network for our customers and the client libraries within Maricopa County for whom we provide library services. The Library District Tech Phase 2 project will increase the capacity and the security of the network in order to meet the demands of the growth in library use and give the Library District complete redundancy at our backup site in case a catastrophic communication breakdown hits the District main network site. It will allow the District to keep its facilities, web presence and libraries it runs systems for operating. The increase in capacity is also required to be able to continue to run the Library Information System for major client libraries. (C-65-10-004-M-00)
