L-1. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF MISCELLANEOUS SURPLUS ITEMS Authorize Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Phoenix) to remove and dispose of miscellaneous surplus from Library District storage. The Maricopa County Library District has many items which the Maricopa County Surplus Program has deemed to have no resale value and can be liquidated. These items include tables, desks, chairs and other office furniture. Rather than dispose of these items in the County landfill, the Library District and the Maricopa County Green Government Program respectfully request approval to donate these items to a local charity - Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Society of St. Vincent de Paul is willing to take the items. Donating these items to Society of St. Vincent de Paul will result in less waste and will help the residents of Maricopa County.
