L-5. GRANT FUNDS FROM THE ARIZONA STATE LIBRARY, ARCHIVES AND PUBLIC RECORDS FOR EARLY LITERACY AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM Accept a State Library Services and Technology Grant for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in the amount of $6.000.00 from the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. These funds are to be used by the Library District to implement an early literacy and technology program, which will enhance the development of literacy skills among young children (1-6 years old) at the Southeast Regional Library. These funds must be used by August 4, 2017. The Library District's indirect rate is 10.4%. The grant allows 0% for indirect cost recovery. Unrecoverable indirect costs are estimated to be $624. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of those funds is not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-65-16-028-M-00)
