H-1. REVISION TO THE HOUSING CHOICE VOU CHER (HCV) ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN, SECTION 6 UTILITY ALLOWANCE AND UTILITY REIMBURSEMENT PAYMENTS Adopt Resolution No. 13-003 and approve revision to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan, Section 6 Utility Allowance and Utility Reimbursement Payments. Section 6 is amended to inform Housing Choice Voucher participants who receive utility allowance and reimbursement payments that their payments will be sent directly to the electric utility company. The revised policy will be effective April 1, 2013. This policy change is consistent with HUD requirements. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the Housing Authority of Maricopa County to obtain governing board approval of all Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program policies where HUD has allowed the housing authority to make program decisions based on local and agency needs.
