H-1. RESOLUTION NO. 14-013 ACCEPTANCE OF THIRTY (30) HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS FROM THE CITY OF TEMPE TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE APACHE ASL TRAILS RESIDENTIAL FACILITY Adopt Resolution 14-013 and authorize the acceptance of thirty (30) housing choice vouchers from the City of Tempe to the Housing Authority of Maricopa County for the purposes of project basing those vouchers at the Apache ASL Trails residential facility in Tempe, Arizona. Also authorize the Executive Director to execute all documents among the City of Tempe and the Housing Authority of Maricopa County, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Apache ASL Trails, Cardinal Capital Management, and any other entity or individual including, without limitation, necessary assignment, termination and release documents with Cardinal Capital Management. The effective date of such transfers shall be July 1, 2014 or later, as may otherwise be determined by the parties. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, City of Tempe, and the Housing Authority of Maricopa County have determined that project based vouchers are essential to the service of low income residents in need of the housing opportunities available at Apache ASL Trails, a residential facility that serves the deaf and hard of hearing community and other persons with disabilities. The City of Tempe desires to voluntarily transfer thirty (30) housing choice vouchers to the Housing Authority of Maricopa County for the administration and related assistance at Apache ASL Trails located at 2428 East Apache Boulevard in Tempe, Arizona.
