H-3. RESOLUTION 16-022 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM PAYMENT STANDARDS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2017 Adopt Resolution No. 16-022 and approve changes in Housing Choice Voucher Payment Standards based on U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) updated Fair Market Rents. This item is effective January 1, 2017. HUD requires HAMC to obtain governing board approval of all Housing Choice Voucher Program updates or changes. HAMC is required to review the payment standards annually when the Fair Market Rents (FMRs) are published by HUD. HAMC should maintain the payment standards at a minimum of 90% and a maximum off 110% of the current FMRs. HAMC has maintained the same payment standards since 2015. HAMC proposes to change the payment standard for 0, 1 , 2 bedroom units to 110% of the FMR, and 3, 4, 5, and 6 bedroom units to 100% of the FMR. (C-66-17-009-M-00)
