70. BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR HEAVY DUTY TRUCK SCALE REPLACEMENTS Approve a one-time expenditure of $100,000 from the Waste Resources and Recycling Department’s Waste Tire fund in FY 2016 to replace heavy duty truck scales for the waste tire collection site. In addition, per A.R.S. §42-17106(B), reduce the FY 2016 expenditure appropriation in the Non-Departmental (470) Non-departmental Grants Fund (249) Non-Recurring (0001) Potential Expenditures from Fund Balance line by $100,000 and increase the FY2016 expenditure appropriation in the Waste Resources and Recycling (670) Waste Tire Fund (290) Non-Recurring/Non-Project (0001). The net impact to the overall county budget is zero. The Waste Resources and Recycling Department (670) is requesting approval from the Board of Supervisors to purchase heavy duty truck scale replacements for the waste tire collection site. The waste tire collection site is located at 11400 E Pecos Rd, Queen Creek AZ 85242, in Supervisorial District 1. The current scales are in disrepair and are becoming cost prohibitive to maintain. It is anticipated that the new scales will improve overall maintenance costs, ensure accurate weight reporting, and increase traffic control safety. (C-67-16-001-3-00)
