F-2. RESOLUTION FOR CLOUD ROAD AND SOSSAMAN ROAD BASIN AND OUTLET Adopt Resolution FCD 2009R004 for the Cloud Road and Sossaman Road Basin and Outlet (Project [#043]), authorizing the Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to advertise, select, negotiate, and award contracts for engineering and construction services; negotiate Intergovernmental Agreements; acquire rights-of-way; and include funding in the District’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Program. Flooding hazards threaten the developed area bounded approximately by Chandler Heights Road to the north, Power Road to the west, Sossaman Road to the east and Cloud Road to the south. Flooding of property has occurred in the area. The Town of Queen Creek completed a study of the area drainage features in March, 2003, and the study concluded drainage capacity is insufficient. To mitigate this hazard, the study recommended the implementation of this Project, tentatively consisting of a basin southeast of the intersection of Sossaman Road and Cloud Road , and an outlet north along Sossaman Road to Sonoqui Wash. This item impacts Supervisory District 1. (C-69-09-057-6-00)

F-7. IGA WITH TOWN OF QUEEN CREEK FOR CLOUD ROAD AND SOSSAMAN ROAD BASIN AND OUTLET PROJECT Approve Intergovernmental Agreement FCD 2009A003 for the Cloud Road and Sossaman Road Basin and Outlet (Project [#043]) between the Town of Queen Creek (Town) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District). This IGA is for utility relocations and design of the basin and outlet. The total estimated cost share under the IGA is $150,000, and will be shared equally with the District and Town each contributing $75,000. The IGA shall become effective when recorded at the office of the County Recorder and shall expire 10 years from the date of recording or upon Project completion, whichever comes first. Flooding hazards have historically threatened the area bounded approximately by Chandler Heights Road to the north, Power Road to the west, Sossaman Road to the east and Cloud Road to the south, and have caused flooding of property. A study conducted by the Town indicated insufficient drainage capacity in the area and recommended the implementation of the Project. The Project was authorized by Resolution FCD 2009R004, which was adopted by the Board of Directors on April 15, 2009 (C-69-09-057-6-00). This item impacts Supervisory District 1. (C-69-09-069-3-00)
