F-1. 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF STATE LEGISLATION FOR CREATION OF FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICTS IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA Request the Flood Control District of Maricopa County Board of Supervisors proclaim a celebration on March 23, 2009, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Arizona State Legislation authorizing the creation of Flood Control Districts in the State of Arizona . The Flood Control District of Maricopa County is responsible for mitigation and prevention of flood damage to property and provides flood protection to the citizens of Maricopa County .
