F-9. IGA WITH CITY OF MESA FOR OAK STREET BASIN AND STORM DRAIN DRAINAGE SYSTEM Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2009A008, Oak Street Basin and Storm Drain Drainage System, between the City of Mesa (City) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District). This IGA is for cost sharing of the design of the Oak Street Basin and Storm Drain Drainage System (Project). The estimated total cost share under this IGA is $400,000.00, with the District’s contribution at 65% and the City’s contribution at 35%. This IGA shall become effective when recorded by the Maricopa County Recorder and shall expire five years from the date of recording or upon Project completion, whichever comes first. The Spook Hill watershed extends from the Usery Mountains on the North and the Apache Trail on the East, to the Buckhorn-Mesa structures to the West and the South. The Spook Hill Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP) identified existing drainage structures, drainage problems, analyzed the extent of flooding and developed alternative drainage solutions. A recommended plan (Plan) was chosen and presented to the public. The Plan has received public support from the residents of the area and adopted by the City.
