F-3. RESOLUTION TO GRANT EASEMENT TO TOWN OF GILBERT Approve Resolution No. 2010R001 which requests permission to grant an easement to the Town of Gilbert over property acquired from the United States Government. The Flood Control District of Maricopa County acquired property from the United States Government for the Sossaman Road Drain Project in December 2002 by Quit Claim Deed. There was no charge for this purchase and the deed was processed through the District’s right of way/consent agenda. In that purchase, there were deed restrictions about utilizing the property for any other purpose than for flood control projects. The Town of Gilbert has recently asked for permission to utilize a portion of the property for roadway purposes. The United States Government has agreed, however, it has asked for a Board Resolution authorizing this use and concurring with the release of a portion of this property to the District, free of the original restrictions.
