F-1. IGA WITH TOWN OF QUEEN CREEK FOR CLOUD ROAD/SOSSAMAN ROAD BASIN AND OUTLET PROJECT Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2010A007 between the District and the Town of Queen Creek (Town) for the rights-of-way acquisition, construction and construction management, and operation and maintenance of the Cloud Road/Sossaman Road Basin and Outlet (Project [#043]). The estimated cost share under the IGA is $7,200,000, with the District contributing $3,600,000 and the Town contributing $3,600,000. The IGA shall become effective as of the date it has been executed by all parties and shall expire five years from the date of recording with the County Recorder or upon completion of the Project and after all funding obligations and reimbursements have been satisfied in accordance with the IGA, whichever is the first to occur. The Project includes a basin located adjacent to Sossaman Road, south of Cloud Road and an outlet from the basin site north along Sossaman Road to Sonoqui Wash as seen in Exhibit A. Over 100 homes will be provided with improved flood protection. The Project ranks as one of the highest priority flood control projects for the Town. The Town submitted the Project to the District for consideration in the District’s FY 2005/06 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Prioritization Procedure process. The Project was recommended by the Flood Control Advisory Board for inclusion into the District’s Five-year CIP. On May 26, 2010, the District’s Flood Control Advisory Board endorsed, and recommended that the Board of Directors approve, this IGA FCD2010A007. This item impacts Supervisory District 1.
