F-5. IGA WITH THE CITY OF SCOTTSDALE FOR THE PINNACLE PEAK SOUTH AREA DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) IGA 2010A018 between the City of Scottsdale (Scottsdale) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) for the Pinnacle Peak South Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP). This IGA is for cost sharing of the ADMP which is estimated to cost $1,500,000 of which the District will fund 70%, an estimated value of $1,050,000, and Scottsdale the remaining 30%, an estimated value of $450,000. Scottsdale is serving as the lead agency. The completion date for the ADMP is estimated to be January 1, 2013. The IGA becomes effective after having been executed by both parties and recorded by the County Recorder, and the IGA shall expire ten (10) years from the date of recording with the County Recorder. Currently the majority of the ADMP study area is located in a FEMA designated 100-year floodplain. The results of this ADMP will provide ways to help mitigate or manage this floodplain. The ADMP will be developed in two phases. Phase I is the Area Drainage Master Study (ADMS) which focuses on a hydrologic evaluation of the watershed for future conditions, identifying flooding hazards in the area, and brainstorming possible alternatives to mitigate these flooding problems. Phase II involves evaluating possible hazard mitigation alternatives, selecting a recommended alternative(s) and preparation of preliminary design plans for a recommended alternative. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisory District 2. (C-69-11-033-3-00)
