F-4. BIDS AND AWARD FOR EAST MARICOPA FLOODWAY MAINTENANCE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS HUNT HIGHWAY TO BROWN ROAD Authorize the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to issue an Invitation for Bids for Contract FCD 2010C043, East Maricopa Floodway Maintenance Road Improvements, Hunt Highway to Brown Road (Project). Award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder if the bid is not more than 10% over the engineer’s estimate. The District operates and maintains the East Maricopa Floodway, which provides flood protection for areas in the East Valley. Most of the maintenance roads along the East Maricopa Floodway are unpaved, and dust generated by maintenance activities can adversely impact air quality. The Project will construct chip seal pavement along unpaved portions of the maintenance roads along the East Maricopa Floodway maintained by the District, between Hunt Highway and Brown Road. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisory Districts 1 and 2. (C-69-11-034-5-00)
