F-8. RESOLUTION FOR THE BUCKEYE AREA DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN Adopt Resolution FCD 2011R006 for the Buckeye Area Drainage Master Plan, authorizing the Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to advertise, select, negotiate, and award contracts for engineering and construction services; negotiate Intergovernmental Agreements; acquire rights-of-way; and include funding in the District’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Program. The District completed the Buckeye Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP) in 2009, which identified flooding hazards and recommended solutions to mitigate those hazards. Conceptual plans for the Buckeye ADMP include detention/diversion and conveyance facilities, subject to revision during the engineering process. The conceptual cost estimate is $345 million, and the projects within the Buckeye ADMP are expected to be implemented over a 20 year period. The District anticipates entering into agreements with the City of Buckeye for the identified Projects within the Buckeye ADMP. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial Districts 4 & 5.
