F-5. FCD 2010A029-IGA FOR DURANGO REGIONAL CONVEYANCE CHANNEL – 75TH AVENUE TO 107TH AVENUE Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD2010A029, Durango Regional Conveyance Channel, 75th Avenue to 107th Avenue (Project) (#565), between the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) and the City of Phoenix (City). This IGA is for Project channel rights-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, construction, construction management, and operation and maintenance. The estimated total Project cost is $20,900,000 with the District’s share estimated to be $13,200,000. The IGA shall become effective when recorded at the office of the County Recorder and shall expire ten (10) years from the date of recording or upon Project completion, whichever comes first. The Durango Area Drainage Master Plan Update (ADMP) identified flooding problems in the Durango area and recommended solutions to these problems. The recommended Project was among those solutions. FCD 2010C033- INVITATION FOR BIDS-DURANGO REGIONAL CONVEYANCE CHANNEL, 83RD AVENUE TO 107TH AVENUE Authorize the advertisement of the Invitation for Bids of Contract FCD 2010C033 for the Durango Regional Conveyance Channel, 83rd Avenue to 107th Avenue (Project [#565) and award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, if the bid is not more than ten percent (10%) over the engineer’s estimate. The Project will provide 100-year protection to an area of the City of Phoenix (City) between 83rd Avenue and 107th Avenue, along the Elwood Street alignment. This contract will include one mile of new earthen channel improvements to two miles of existing channel, three detention basins, maintenance roads, and associated structures. The District will administer the construction contract and provide the construction management. In accordance with IGA FCD 2010A029 (C-69-12-016-3-00), the District will fund one hundred percent (100%) of the remaining Project construction costs, and the City will receive credit for previously-constructed Project features and will fund one hundred percent (100%) of the Durango Regional Conveyance Channel between 75th Avenue and 83rd Avenue.
