F-1. BID AND AWARD FOR LOWER EL MIRAGE WASH BASIN Authorize the Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (DISTRICT) to issue an Invitation for Bids for Contract FCD 2012C018 for the Lower El Mirage Wash Basin Project (Project #470) and to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if the bid is not more than ten percent (10%) over the engineer’s estimate. The Project will attenuate the 100-year stormwater flows and reduce the floodplain of the Lower El Mirage Wash from the Cactus Road crossing west of El Mirage Road to the Agua Fria River, in the City of El Mirage (CITY). This contract will include drainage structures, earthwork grading, and landscaping. Based on the provisions of Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2011A025 (C-69-12-063-3-00), the DISTRICT will fund this construction contract and provide the construction management.
