F-5. RESOLUTION FCD 2012R005 FOR CAVE BUTTES DAM WATERLINE PROJECT Adopt Resolution FCD 2012R005 for the Cave Buttes Dam Waterline Project authorizing the Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to negotiate Project Intergovernmental Agreements; include Project funding in the District’s current Operating Budget; advertise, select, negotiate, and award contracts for Project engineering and construction services. District’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Division performs various maintenance projects and repairs for the Cave Buttes Dam and surrounding flood control structures as storm events require. Typical maintenance work requires significant water for dust control, soil compaction and embankment repairs. The District has identified a waterline improvement project in the vicinity of the intersection Cave Creek Road and Jomax Road. Recommended improvements will provide a new water line, delivery point and staging area for the District on the Cave Buttes Dam property. Project will also eliminate costs and lead delays associated with the existing waterline conditions and enhance the safety of the transportation corridor by eliminating access points and road crossings. The Project’s estimated cost is $150,000, and project implementation is expected to occur over a 2 to 3 month period. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 3. (C-69-13-026-6-00)
