F-6. BID AND AWARD FOR FDC 2012C022 - CAVE BUTTES DAM WATERLINE PROJECT Authorize the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to issue an Invitation for Bids for Contract FCD 2012C022, Cave Buttes Dam Waterline Project (Project). Award the contract to the lowest, responsible bidder if the bid is not more than ten percent (10%) over the engineer’s estimate. District’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Division performs various maintenance projects and repairs for the Cave Buttes Dam and surrounding flood control structures as storm events require. Typical maintenance work requires significant water for dust control, soil compaction and embankment repairs. The District has identified a waterline improvement project in the vicinity of the intersection Cave Creek Road and Jomax Road. The Project will consist of constructing a new waterline, delivery point and staging area for the District. This improvement will also eliminate costs and lead delays associated with the existing waterline conditions and enhance the safety of the transportation corridor by eliminating access points and road crossings.
