F-1. IGA WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE FOR DAM REHABILITATION PROJECT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2014A011, between the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) for Dam Rehabilitation Project Technical Assistance. The primary purpose of this agreement is to enable NRCS and the District to provide a mechanism for the District to fully fund NRCS technical assistance for four dam rehabilitation projects under four separate cost share agreements as follows: 1) Buckeye Flood Retarding Structure No.1 Project: Agreement FCD 2011A004 2) White Tanks FRS No. 4 Rehabilitation Project: Agreement FCD 2010A005 3) Powerline FRS Decommissioning with Channel Replacement Project: FCD 2014A008 4) Vineyard Road Rehabilitation and Rittenhouse Levee Project: FCD 2014A009 The IGA shall not exceed $1.5 million and will become effective when signed by both parties. NRCS recently allocated $81.1 million in federal funding for four District Dam Rehabilitation projects in various stages of construction. Those funds are proposed to be fully obligated under existing and new Project IGAs as applicable prior to September 30, 2014 contingent upon a technical assistance agreement with NRCS to fund NRCS oversight, review and approval of Projects design and construction.
