F-2. INCREASE AMOUNT ON SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH BENTLEY SYSTEMS, INC. Approve an increase to the expenditure amount authorized on Contract No. 03259SS, a Sole Source contract with Bentley Systems, Inc., of $ 50,000 to fund FY 2015 costs for software and support on this contract through June 30, 2015. The total authorized limit was $1,500,000 and the contract began in the year 2000. Contract No. 03259SS provides for software/system support from Bentley Systems, Inc., for proprietary engineering software applications including MicroStation, StormCAD, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, InRoads, InRoads Survey and other Bentley SELECT Program products. These software applications are required for the District’s engineering computer aided design and drafting related to capital project design and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling. No other vendor provides this product; Bentley Systems, Inc. owns the copyright licensing for this software and there are no other applications that can be used for the hardware. The cost is included in the FY 2015 budget. This agenda item impacts all supervisorial districts. (C-69-15-007-3-00)
