F-2. IGA WITH UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE FOR WHITE TANKS FRS NO. 4 REHABILITATION PROJECT Approve Intergovernmental (IGA) Agreement FCD 2015A004, between the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) for the White Tanks FRS No. 4 Rehabilitation Project (Project[#201]). The purpose of this agreement is to supersede IGA FCD2010A005 which was to expire December 12, 2015 NRCS rules are such that NRCS cost share agreements cannot be extended beyond 5 years of the date of the original agreement. Based on the current Project schedule, completion of the Phase II construction for this Project will be beyond 5 years of the date of the original agreement. Therefore IGA FCD2015A004 will commence with the close out of IGA FCD2010A005. The new IGA will be in effect for 5 years from its last signatory date. The total obligated federal cost share for this agreement remains at $20,613,500. Several dam safety deficiencies have been identified at White Tanks FRS No. 4 and overall rehabilitation of the dam best meets District goals and objectives related to dam safety and public safety.
