F-3. COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE WITH NINYO AND MOORE GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTANTS FOR WHITE TANKS FRS NO. 4 PHASE 2 POST DESIGN SERVICES Approve a Competition Impracticable Procurement, Maricopa County Procurement Code, MCI-351, in the amount of $500,000.00, with Ninyo and Moore Geotechnical Consultants to provide (On-Call) Post Design Services for the construction of the White Tanks FRS No. 4 Phase 2 Project. The Contract will be effective for 3 years from the date of execution. Ninyo and Moore Geotechnical Consultants have been providing design services under contract FCD2008C002 for the White Tanks FRS No. 4 Rehabilitation Project. That contract will terminate once the design has been approved for construction by the Arizona Department of Water Resources. As the designer for the rehabilitation project it is highly desirable to have the designer remain on board during construction to provide post design services as the Engineer of Record (EOR). This contract and work assignment will enable the EOR to inspect the foundation for the new dam embankment, review and answer requests for information provided by the contractor, act as the CQA Director, write a construction completion report as specified in AAC R12-15-12 and produce the as-built drawings of the structure.
