F-1. IGA WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR WATER RESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2015A010, between the United States Department of the Interior United States Geological Survey (USGS) [Agreement #16MAZ00300 (USGS)] and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District), for the period of October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016, to continue collecting data on local watersheds. The total cost of the IGA is $334,540. The District’s costs under this Agreement will be $191,730, with the USGS contributing the remaining $142,810. Payments from the District are to be made quarterly. This Agreement will develop and evaluate long term flood histories on watercourses in Maricopa County, and provide information critical to the determination of the risk of flooding in these watercourses. The information generated by the USGS’s ongoing work is vital to the safety of Maricopa County residents, and to the continuing hydrologic studies performed by the District.
