97. RESOLUTION FOR THE PARADISE RIDGE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Adopt Resolution FCD 2020R003 for the Paradise Ridge Drainage Improvements Project (PROJECT), authorizing the Director of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to include funds for PROJECT implementation in the District’s current and future Five-Year Capital improvement Prog ram; to advertise, select, negotiate, and award contracts for PROJECT engineering and construction services. The Paradise Ridge Channel (extending from the southwest corner of Pinnacle Peak Road & Scottsdale Road, south approximately 2.5 miles to State Ro ute 101) was identified in the Pinnacle Peak West Area Drainage Master Study as being a necessary component to control the alluvial fan flooding in the area. This PROJECT will reduce the flood hazard in the area and complete the final step of a comprehens ive solution to this drainage corridor. This is a joint project with the City of Phoenix and the estimated total PROJECT cost is $32,000,000. The cost will be shared 50/50 with the City making the District’s estimated share of the PROJECT cost $16,000,000 The City will operate and maintain the completed PROJECT.
