153. BIDS AND AWARD FOR CHANDLER HEIGHTS BASIN EXCAVATION Authorize the advertisement of the Invitation for Bids of the Chandler Heights Basin Excavation (Project [#121]) and the award of the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, if the bid is not more than ten percent (10%) over the engineer’s estimate. This project will excavate and haul away about approximately 511k CY of material from the Chandler Heights detention Basin as is necessary to progress toward completion of the Basin and allow for the eventual development of recreational amenities. The project is located in eastern portion of Maricopa County in the Town of Gilbert. The Project is bounded to the west by the East Maricopa Floodway (EMF), to the east by the Queen Creek Wash/Higley Rd., to the south by the Ocotillo Rd. alignment, and to the north by the Gilbert Regional Park amenities. This Basin is owned and maintained by the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC), and the project is 100% funded by FCDMC.
