122. AMENDMENT TO IGA FOR SUN CITY WEST AREA CHANNEL CROSSINGS PROJECT Approve the First Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2021A005 between the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) and Maricopa County (County) to collaborate on mutually beneficial channel-area improvements in Sun City West Area Community. This First Amendment aims to amend the 2021 Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to revise the responsibilities of the District and County for the project, including the design, construction, permitting, and cost-sharing. The revised estimated construction cost is $6,038,000. The County’s estimated cost-share contribution is $3,622,800 and the District’s estimated cost-share contribution is $2,415,200. Under the original agreement the District contributed $2,000,000 upon completion of design of the project. Upon start of construction FCDMC will contribute the balance. This First Amendment changes the financial terms of the 2021 IGA, and this First Amendment shall supersede and replace the previous terms in the original agreement. Accordingly, the IGA amendment shall become effective on the data approved by both the County Board of Supervisors and the Flood Control District’s Board of Directors and remain in full force and effect until all stipulations are met.
