120. RESOLUTION FOR THE PIMA ROAD DRAINAGE CHANNEL PROJECT Adopt Resolution FCD 2021R003 for the Pima Road Drainage Channel Project (PROJECT), authorizing the Director of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to include funds for PROJECT implementation in the District’s current and future Five-Year Capital improvement Program; and to negotiate and prepare intergovernmental agreements and/or agreements with identified cost-share with City of Scottsdale (CITY). The Pima Road Drainage Channel was identified in the Pinnacle Peak South Area Drainage Master Study as being a necessary solution to mitigate the flood hazards in the area. The PROJECT will provide 100-year flood protection to 56 structures and will reduce the frequency of flooding and flood damage for 73 structures. This is a joint project with the CITY and the estimated total PROJECT cost is $8,500,000. The cost will be shared 50/50 with the City making the District’s estimated share of the PROJECT cost $4,500,000. The CITY is the lead agency for the PROJECT and the CITY will operate and maintain the completed PROJECT. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 2. (C-69-22-043-X-00)
