101. RESOLUTION FOR THE GILA BEND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Adopt Resolution FCD 2022R001 for the Gila Bend Drainage Improvements Project (PROJECT), authorizing the Director of the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to include funds for PROJECT implementation in the District’s current and future Five-Year Capital improvement Program; to advertise, select, negotiate, and award contracts for PROJECT engineering and construction services, and to negotiate Intergovernmental Agreements as appropriate. The Gila Bend Drainage Improvement Project area is located within the Town of Gila Bend approximately bounded by Scott Avenue Wash on the west, Bender Wash on the east and from approximately Indian Road on the north to I-8 to the south. The proposed improvements were identified in the Gila Bend Area Drainage Master Plan Update as being a necessary component to control flooding in the area. Once implemented, this PROJECT will reduce the flood hazard by constructing a series of levees, channels, basins and other drainage improvements in the area. Estimated costs for this Project is $20,000,000. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 5. (C-69-22-056-X-00)
