4. IGA WITH TOWN OF GILA BEND FOR GILA BEND FLOODED PROPERTIES ACQUISITION PROJECT Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) FCD 2021A013 for the Gila Bend Flooded Properties Acquisition Project between the Town of Gila Bend (Town) and the Flood Control District (District). The estimated total Project cost is $3.6M and the Town will operate and maintain the Project as open space and/or for recreation purposes. This IGA shall become effective as of the date it has been executed by all Project Partners and shall expire two years from that date, or upon Project completion, whichever occurs first. The Project executed through this voluntary program may remove up to nine (9) homes from the floodway that have experienced severe flooding. This Agenda item impacts Supervisorial District 5.
