140. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH THE CITY OF MESA FOR PECOS ROAD BASINS AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS (Supervisorial District No. 2) Approve Amendment No. 1 FCD IGA 2024A005A to Intergovernmental Agreement FCD 2024A005 for the Pecos Road Basins and Storm Drain Improvements project (PROJECT) between the City of Mesa (CITY) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (DISTRICT). This Agreement shall become effective as of the date it has been executed by all PROJECT PARTNERS and shall expire ten years from that date. The PROJECT is located in the developed urban area within the City of Mesa along the Pecos Road corridor and is intended to mitigate excess stormwater runoff that impacts existing and proposed residences and businesses by using new storm drain basins and other drainage features to convey stormwater to the Ellsworth Channel. The proposed improvements were studied as part of the East Mesa Area Drainage Master Plan Update (EMADMPU). The proposed project will be designed and constructed for a 10-year level of protection. The PROJECT will consist of basins, storm drains, and other conveyance improvements in the vicinity of Pecos Road from the Meridian Road alignment to Ellsworth Road. The CITY is the lead agency for the acquisition of rights-of-way and invoicing the DISTRICT for its share of those acquisition costs. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 2.
