41. COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE WITH METAL TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES, LLC FOR MCSO SHOOTING RANGE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES Approve a Competition Impracticable contract with Metal Treatment Technologies from Arvada, Colorado for an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 for lead removal services for Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Buckeye Hills shooting range. The overall cost of the contract will be partially reduced by the salvaged value of the recovered lead. Hazardous lead removal is a specialty service requiring an environmental services contractor. Certified testing has indicated a significant build-up of lead cased bullet fragments in the surrounding soil. Proper and timely removal of these fragments is imperative in that storm water runoff could potentially carry them to an adjacent streambed. (C-70-16-023-3-00)
