51. APPLICATION TO ARIZONA STATE LAND DEPARTMENT FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILITY CONSTRUCTION STAGING AREA Approve application submittal to the Arizona State Land Department (ASLD), for obtaining authorization to establish a construction / helicopter staging area for the planned Maricopa County wireless communication facilities at Table Mesa (southeast of Table Mesa Road and Interstate 17). Authorize the Chairman to execute the Application. Also, in the event that additional documentation is required by ASLD, authorize the Chief Real Estate Officer to execute and process the subject application documents on behalf of Maricopa County. As part of the County’s Radio System Upgrade Project, the subject applications with the ASLD is the first step in establishing the County’s right to develop a construction / helicopter staging area for the planned Maricopa County wireless communication facilities at Table Mesa (southeast of Table Mesa Road and Interstate 17). As part of the ASLD application process, the County may also be required to pay for an appraisal, archeological, study, and associated cost. A subsequent Board of Supervisors agenda items will be submitted to obtain Board authorization if the subject lease application processing costs are greater than $5,000. (C-70-17-003-3-00)
