41. SRP BUSINESS DEMAND RESPONSE PROGRAM Approve and Execute Agreement to participate in a peak energy load reduction program with Salt River Project (SRP) and their vendor Enel X North America, Inc. to reduce consumption during peak use periods. Participation in the program will help avoid service interruptions or blackouts, reduce the need to build new power capacity and sources, and will generate billing savings with reduced consumption. As part of this agreement, eight (8) County facilities will participate in the program. The program is active from May 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023 and eligible from noon to 9:00 PM with 1-3 hours per event. Program is limited to a maximum of 10 total weekday events. There is no cost to participate and participation can end at any time without penalty. During an activation, the program provides a rebate of $60 KW for reduced demand below benchmark levels. Agreement is a five (5) year term with County option to renew. (C-70-23-006-X-00)
