77. MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SR BUSINESS ANALYST POSITION REQUEST Approve the creation of a classified position (Business Analyst - Sr) in Materials Management. This position request is necessary due to the current Business Analyst Senior’s participation in the Post Employment Health Enhancement (Retirement) Program (PEHPEP) which requires that the position (#3973) be eliminated. Creation of a new position is necessary to support business operations and continuity. Position #3973, in the Materials Management Department, was inactivated due to the incumbents participation in the 2010 Post Employment Health Enhancement Program. The position attributes are as follows: MRT: Business/Systems Analyst Senior-Lead Status: Classified Budgeted Rate: $41.16 Due to the nature of this position, the Materials Management Department feels it necessary to replace position #3973 with a new position. The new position’s attributes will be as follows: MRT: Business/Systems Analyst (Senior-Lead) Status: Classified Budgeted Rate: $34.26 The Materials Management Department will achieve savings through hiring a new employee at a lower rate of pay than the retiring employee. This will result in $16,842 annual savings as required under the 2010 Retirement Health Enhancement Program. (C-73-10-067-M-00)
