43. EXEMPTION TO POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTH ENHANCEMENT (RETIREMENT) PROGRAM Approve the creation of two classified positions (Procurement Supervisor – County) in Materials Management. This position request is necessary due to the participation of both Procurement Supervisor(s) – County in the Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement (Retirement) Program (PEHPEP) which requires that the positions (#4011, 4012) be eliminated. Creation of new positions is necessary to meet demand for services. Position #4011 and #4012, in the Materials Management Department, were inactivated due to the incumbents participation in the 2010 Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement Program. The position attributes for both positions are as follows: MRT: Procurement Supervisor - County Status: Classified Budgeted Rate: $38.05 Due to the nature of this position, the Materials Management Department has determined it necessary to replace position #4011 and #4012 with two new positions. The new positions' attributes will be as follows: MRT: Procurement Supervisor - County Status: Classified Budgeted Rate: $32.66 The Materials Management Department will achieve savings through hiring new employees at a lower rate of pay than the retiring employees. This will result in $11,211 annual savings for each position as required under the 2010 Retirement Health Enhancement Program. (C-73-10-070-M-00)
