63. 14064-S COMBINED TOWING AND STORAGE SERVICES Approve the following solicitation serial items. Serial: 14064-S Item: Combined Towing and Storage Services ($175,000.00 estimate / 1 Year Until March 31, 2016 With 4 One-Year Renewal Option (Eff. 04/01/15)) This Combined Towing and Storage Services contract is a two part contract; Part A is established to meet the needs of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Part B is established to meet the needs of the Equipment Services Department. Part A is a combination expenditure and revenue generating towing contract for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) to meet the needs of MCSO in carrying out their duties associated with the towing of privately owned vehicles involved in accidents on County roads and for the impound and storage of vehicles related to MCSO investigations. Most fees and costs associated with Part A are paid directly from vehicle owners or insurance companies to the towing companies, which are dispatched based on a zone award and on a rotational basis, when more than one company is awarded in the same zone. However, there are times when MCSO is responsible for certain fees associated with the contract. This amount is estimated to be less than $75,000 annually. The intent and specifications also include the generation of revenue derived as a percentage of sales from the sale of cars seized in the 3511 program. Estimated revenue generation is $85,000.00 per year. Revenue will be deposited in the MCSO 3511 fund. Part B of this contract is a first call award to Towing Professionals of AZ dba: Fast Towing, Shamrock Towing All Valley Impound, and a second call award to Western Towing of Phoenix, Inc. dba: Western Towing. Part B is an expenditure contract and serves the needs of the Equipment Services Department in the towing of disabled County owned vehicles to the County owned site at Durango or other locations as deemed appropriate by Equipment Services. The annual cost is estimated to be $100,000. (C-73-15-025-7-00)
