OUTSIDE COUNSEL SERVICES OPIOID INVESTIGATION AND LITIGATION (180275-RFP) Approve contract for award until such a date as all services to be provided are deemed completed and accepted by the County. The effective date of the contract will be August 29, 2018. The purpose of the contract is to perform unique legal services for Maricopa County as described in Contractors proposal dated July 17, 2018, supplemented on August 2, 2018, and generally will investigate, initiate and pursue litigation and claims against identified manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and others of prescription opioids when specifically approved in advance by Maricopa County.
