52. SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE WITH SYN-TECH / FUEL MASTER Approve a sole source purchase, in the amount of $388,291.32 with Syn-Tech / Fuel Master for the purchase of 1,800 units of their Automated Information Management System, AIM2 Modules. This purchase will allow Equipment Services to complete the installation of these units in the County fleet. An initial pilot program was initiated in Fiscal Year 2010 and proved to be successful. The primary purpose of the system is to reduce or eliminate the potential theft of fuel from County owned fueling stations and to gather additional operating statistics on the County’s fleet to allow for the more efficient operation of the fleet which results in the reduced costs of maintenance.
