41. COMMUNICATIONS LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH VERIZON WIRELESS Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute, Communication License Agreement P-50319 with Verizon Wireless to allow Verizon Wireless to install, operate, and maintain communications equipment on Maricopa County property identified as APN 112-22-08A (225 Madison) and APN 112-22-973 (South Court Tower). This item is located Supervisory District 5. This license will allow Verizon Wireless, at its sole cost and expense, to install, operate, and maintain communication equipment on Maricopa County property to increase cell phone reception within the area. The term of the agreement is ten (10) years which commences on April 1, 2019 or the date the County provides Verizon with a notice that they can install their improvements, whichever comes first. The annual license fee for years 1 through 5 will be $3,850 and increases to $4,400 for years 6 through 10. Verizon will also be paying a one-time fee of $6,000 for the County to purchase and install another camera that will surveil the area between Verizon’s equipment cabinet and the County’s sky bridge. The license may be terminated: (1) pursuant to A.R.S. §38-511; (2) for any reason or no reason without liability of any kind upon giving 30 days written notice; (3) at any time by mutual written agreement; (4) by county at the end of any fiscal year due to non-appropriation of funds.
