30. SOUTHWEST GAS CORPORATION GRANT OF EASEMENT Approve and authorize the granting of a perpetual easement, without a public auction pursuant to A.R.S. 11-251 (9), in consideration of $1.00, to Southwest Gas Corporation (SWG), its successors, assigns, licensees, and invitees for the installation and maintenance of a natural gas pipeline or pipelines and appurtenances, across, over, under and through the easement parcel, and authorize the Chairman of the Board to execute all necessary documents approved by Counsel to grant such easement. This item is located in Supervisory District Five. THIS ITEM REQUIRES THE UNANIMOUS CONSENT OF THE BOARD. This easement is necessary to memorialize the location of the existing gas line located within the former 6th Avenue alignment, south of Jefferson Street and north of Madison Street alignment, which was discovered during the construction of the new County parking lot. This easement also includes the right of ingress and egress to and from the said easement and the right to use the existing roads for the purpose of constructing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining said pipeline or pipelines and appurtenances and the removal or replacement of the same, in whole or in part, at will. The existing gas line serves several County buildings in the downtown area. (C-78-20-007-3-00)
