ESTABLISH AND ADJUST FEES FOR MARICOPA COUNTY ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL Set a public hearing for July 7, 2010 to solicit comments and establish and adjust fees for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC). New fees include a canine heartworm test, a sliding scale cat intake fee, and a license renewal insert fee. MCACC also requests the mandated sterilization waiver, municipal cat intake, and license fees for shelter application be increased. AMENDMENT TO THE PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATE OF ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL FEE SCHEDULE Amend the proposed effective date of the Animal Care and Control fees to be considered at the July 7, 2010 Board of Supervisors meeting. The hearing regarding these fees was on the Board's agenda initially with a proposed effective date of July 7, 2010. IGA WITH SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY FOR SHELTER SERVICES Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), between Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community for Animal Control Shelter Services. This IGA is effective from August 22, 2012 through June 30, 2015. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community agrees to pay full cost recovery for shelter services for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 estimated to be $42,920 based on fees approved by the Board of Supervisors on July 7, 2010 (C-79-10-132-7-00) and historical levels of service for this jurisdiction. Also, authorize the Office of Management and Budget to adjust the revenue and expenditures for FY 2013-2014 and FY 2014-2015 based on service levels. (C-79-13-010-3-00)

AGREEMENT WITH PAWS PLUS TO PLACE INSERT ADVERTISEMENT IN LICENSE MAILINGS Approve an Agreement between Paws Plus, a corporation, 7115 16th St E, Sarasota, FL 34243, and Maricopa County to allow Paws Plus to insert advertisement into license renewal notices sent to the residents of Maricopa County whose dogs require a rabies vaccination prior to licensing at a rate of $.57 per insert. It is estimated 72,000 license renewal notices will be mailed during the term of the Agreement, totaling $41,040 in revenue. Term of the Agreement is November 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013 with option to renew an additional period to reach $48,000. The Board of Supervisors approved the license insert fee of $.57 on July 7, 2010 (C-79-10-132-7-00). (C-79-13-056-3-00)

IGA WITH TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTER SERVICES Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), between Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and the Town of Fountain Hills for Animal Control Shelter Services. This IGA is effective from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 with option to renew for four (4) one year terms. The Town of Fountain Hills agrees to pay full cost recovery for shelter services for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 estimated to be $20,000 based on fees approved by the Board of Supervisors on July 7, 2010 (C-79-10-132-7-00) and historical levels of service for this jurisdiction. AGREEMENT WITH PAWS PLUS MANAGEMENT, LLC Approve an Agreement between Paws Plus Management, LLC, a corporation, 5813 Skylane Blvd, Windsor, CA 95492, and Maricopa County to allow Paws Plus Management, LLC to insert advertisement into license renewal notices sent to the residents of Maricopa County whose dogs require a rabies vaccination prior to licensing at a rate of $.57 per insert. It is estimated 342,000 license renewal notices will be mailed during the term of the Agreement, totaling $194,940 in revenue. Term of the Agreement is April 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018 with option to renew two (2) additional one (1) year terms.
