16. NEW HOPE AGREEMENT WITH HAPPY TAILS DACHSHUND RESCUE Approve an Agreement between Happy Tails Dachshund Rescue, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, P O Box 116, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, and Maricopa County to allow Happy Tails Dachshund Rescue under the New Hope Program to rescue animals that have been deemed eligible for the New Hope program. Maricopa County will provide a rabies vaccination, dog license tag and new owner transfer fee within the first year of rescue for each dog three months of age or older at no cost to the Contractor. The cost for these services is $41 for each animal rescued. Animal Care and Control estimates 6 new hope rescues over the term of the agreement, for a total of $246. The term of this Agreement is from January 25, 2012 through June 30, 2012. (C-79-12-090-3-00)
