48. AGREEMENT WITH PETSMART CHARITIES, INC. AND ACCEPT DONATION Approve an Agreement and accept donation between PetSmart Charities, Inc. and Maricopa County through the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Department in which PetSmart Charities, Inc. is donating a minimum of $10,000 for a November adoption event, plus $35 for each pet, adopted. It is estimated 200 pets will be adopted between November 16 -18, 2012 during this event. Donation revenue funds are deposited into Fund 573 as they are received. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. PetSmart Charities, Inc. PetSmart is donating a minimum of $10,000 for an adoption event to be held November 16 – 18, 2012, plus $35 for each pet adopted. The $10,000 is for event set up and supplies. PetSmart Charities, Inc. has agreed to promote the event through marketing and media. (C-79-13-051-3-00)
