17. NEW HOPE AGREEMENT WITH PEI PEOPLE SHAR PEI RESCUE, INC. TO RESCUE ANIMALS Approve an Agreement between Pei People Shar Pei Rescue, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, P O Box 1526, Lake Forest, CA 92609 with affiliates in Arizona, and Maricopa County to allow Pei People Shar Pei Rescue, Inc. under the New Hope Program to rescue animals that have been deemed eligible for the New Hope program. Maricopa County will provide a rabies vaccination, dog license tag and new owner transfer fee within the first year of rescue for each dog three months of age or older at no cost to the Contractor. The cost for these services is $41 for each animal rescued. Animal Care and Control estimates 4 new hope rescues over the term of the agreement, for a total of $164. The term of this Agreement is from January 23, 2013 through June 30, 2014. (C-79-13-098-3-00)
