24. NEW HOPE AGREEMENT WITH AZ HAPPY TAILS ANIMAL RESCUE Approve an Agreement between AZ Happy Tails Animal Rescue, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, 864 W Marlboro Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85225, and Maricopa County to allow AZ Happy Tails Animal Rescue under the New Hope Program to rescue animals that have been deemed eligible for the New Hope program. Maricopa County will provide a rabies vaccination, dog license tag and new owner transfer fee within the first year of rescue for each dog three months of age or older at no cost to the Contractor. The cost for these services is $41 for each animal rescued. Animal Care and Control estimates 240 new hope rescues over the term of the agreement, for a total of $9,840. The term of this Agreement is from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016. (C-79-14-065-3-00)
