23. NEW HOPE AGREEMENT WITH BASENJI RESCUE AND TRANSPORT, INC. Approve an Agreement between Basenji Rescue and Transport, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 corporation, 7255 Jermyn Cove, Germantown, Tennessee 38138, and Maricopa County to allow Basenji Rescue and Transport, Inc. under the New Hope Program to rescue animals that have been deemed eligible for the New Hope program. Maricopa County will provide a rabies vaccination, dog license tag and new owner transfer fee within the first year of rescue for each dog three months of age or older at no cost to the Contractor. The cost for these services is $41 for each animal rescued. Animal Care & Control estimates 18 new hope rescues over the term of the agreement, for a total of $738. The term of this Agreement is from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017. (C-79-14-130-3-00)
