34. DONATION FROM PETSMART CHARITIES, INC. Accept a monetary donation from PetSmart Charities, Inc. of Phoenix, AZ in the amount of $2,500 for the care of the animals. Donation revenue funds are deposited into Fund 573 as they are received. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Maricopa County Animal Care & Control received the PetSmart Charities Chloe Award and $2,500 donation on May 13, 2014 for Excellence in Adoptions. Maricopa County Animal Care and Control had the highest number of adoptions for the nation through the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center located in Scottsdale, AZ. MCACC's EAC in Scottsdale found homes for 1,874 animals in 2013. (C-79-14-144-D-00)
