32. OPERATING CONTINGENCY REQUEST Pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106(B), authorize the following amendment to the FY 2016 budget: a) Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Operating (0000) Contingency (4711) in the line “Animal Care and Control Operations” by an amount not-to-exceed $500,000; b) Increase the expenditure authority in the Animal Care and Control (790) General Fund (100) Operating (0000) by an amount not-to-exceed $500,000. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero, and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Approval of this action will allow Animal Care and Control to create three additional veterinarian contract positions and three additional animal health technician contract positions along with additional clinic supplies associated with increased staffing to assist with the increased demands on the clinic.
